    Ok, so what is meet & greet?
    A:
    Meet & Greet is a social networking app that allows users meet with each other on public beaches or other venues. Users are welcome to exchange sunbeds and umbrellas (“resources”), but keep in mind that you still need to pay for them to the authorities upon request. As a main goal, this app offers the opportunity to find a nice space on the beach, make friends, dating and other activities.

    I want to meet. How can I use meet & greet?
    A:
    1. Select the beach (or other venue), and then select your best match from the existing offers.
    2. Press the "Meet" button and please arrive on time.

    A:
    1. Go to the beach, rent resources from the authorities and use them, also create an offer.
    2. Wait till a match happens in the app and get ready to meet&greet your new "beach buddy" soon.

    Sharing my beach resources - is it legal?
    A:
    Can I legally share? There is not a legal limitation to sharing your resource as long as you can confirm you have paid and hold a valid ticket as issued by the authorities, for the use of the beach resources.

    Transfer my sunbed ticket - is it legal?
    A:
    Can I transfer the receipt to another person? In certain cases you can transfer the receipt, but bear in mind that not all tickets are necessarily transferable. Transferability depends on whether the ticket itself (and thus third-party providers e.g. the authorities) specifically excludes the transfer. Third party administrators (including the authorities) are not bound by any agreement between the users of the app and may not accept the transfer.

    My meeting turned out as "no show" – what will happen?
    A:
    What should I do if a person didn't show up and didn't cancel the offer? Both users must be present and online at least 15 minutes before your Meet & Greet starts. The app’s built-in geolocation check takes place 15 minutes before the meeting. If both users are not in the given range, the booking will be cancelled automatically.

    What if I get no response after my beach buddy arrives at the beach?
    A:
    What should I do if a person arrives but doesn't answer calls? If both users are near each other, but unable to meet for some reason, they have the option to leave feedback and rate each other. The automatic matching mechanism is set up in a way that users with low ratings receive new offers last.

    No one's here – what to do now?
    A:
    What should I do if I selected an offer, arrived at the correct place, and my beach buddy has already left? Both users must be present and online at least 15 minutes before the start of the meeting. The app’s built-in geolocation check takes place 15 minutes before the meeting. If both users are not in the given range, the booking will be cancelled automatically.

    How can I cancel or edit my offer or request?
    A:
    You can modify the offer or request until the automatic match happens. After that, you can cancel the offer by clicking the "Cancel" button. Please note that cancelling less than 30 minutes before the meeting may lower your rating in the app's user base.

    How do I initate the video call feature?
    A:
    Where can I get the phone number to contact the person who responded to my offer? We do not store any phone numbers. Communication is done through an internet call within the app. The calling feature becomes available if both users are present at least 15 minutes before the Meet & Greet starts. Alternately, the calling feature is always available for the VIP members.

    How do I find my beach buddy on the beach?
    A:
    You will have access to your beach buddy’s geolocation on the map. However, the geolocation might not be completely accurate. To address that, 15 minutes before the meeting the app provides an option for audio and video calls. Alternately, the calling feature is always available for the VIP members.

    Got lost or running late on your way to the beach?
    A:
    What should I do if I confused the location and arrived at a different beach? The app's automatic geolocation check takes place 15 minutes before the meeting. If both users are not near each other, the offer is automatically cancelled. If you are running late, with the consent of the other party, you can reschedule the meeting time for another 15 minutes. Be polite and please arrive on time.

    Can I make a request for a specific date and time?
    A:
    Is it possible to make a request for a specific date and time? Sure: If you cannot find a suitable option in the list of offers, you can submit a request for the desired time.

    What's the price of the service?
    A:
    How can I find out the price of an offer? The sunbed and umbrella prices are set by law and solely to be paid to the authorities. Users can also request a reasonable tip in addition. The maximum value of such a tip is limited within the app. This limitation can be extended for the VIP members. All financial transactions are made directly between users, outside the Website and the App. The application solely provides the matching service and helps to arrange the meetings.

    Which kind of communication is available in the application?
    A:
    The application provides audio and video calls. This functionality becomes available 15 minutes before the meeting, given that both users are located close at their geolocation and online, too. Text messaging feature will be available in the future for the VIP members.

    How can I rate and give feedback about other users?
    A:
    The option to leave feedback and rate becomes available after the completion of the offer.
  • Q:
    Where can I use meet & greet?
    A:
    meet & greet is currently available on the selected coastline areas of the Republic of Cyprus. You will be notified of new locations where you can use it. The list of the available beaches depends on your location. VIP members can see a wider range of options.

    What is the minimum age to use the app?
    A:
    To use of meet & greet an age of at least 18 years is required. Age limitation might change based on the legal requirements of the country where you are using it.
  • Q:
    My account has been blocked. How did that happen?
    A:
    If your account was suspended or terminated it may be because a complaint about how you use our services was submitted from another user or because there are reasonable grounds to believe that you have violated our Terms of Use and after our review it was deemed as an appropriate action.     How can I delete my account?
    A:
    To delete your account within the app please go to "Profile" scroll till the bottom of the page and press the "Delete account" button. Please read our Privacy Policy for additional details regarding the data retention.

    How can I be sure about who I will meet?
    A:
    We encourage users to upload real photos, but we do not carry out any ID verification. You will also have an access to video communication 15 minutes before the meeting (or at any time after a match for VIP members).

    How can I get the VIP badge?

    You can get the VIP badge once you purchase any package available within the app. VIP members have an access to the extended functionality including the badge.

    How can I choose my meeting time slot?

    While you are creating an offer or request, you will have the option to choose the time of the meeting.

    What is automated decision-making and profiling?

    Automated decision-making and profiling are invisible features that are at the core of our services, upon without which we would be unable to help you Meet & Greet. We use these features to help connect you with other users from the information you provide us (such as your gender and age) along with information we collect from your use of the service. We use the same process to recommend you to other users.

    We use automated decision-making and profiling to promote and ensure the safety and security of our users by making it easier to prevent illegal or unauthorised actions from happening and to swiftly and efficiently detect and fight those actions when they happen.
